Allow inline images in description and comments
Giso Stallenberg
At the moment any image you paste is appended as attachment. It is very common to add an image inline, so the text next to it adds some context to the image and vice versa

Daniel Molnar: Hi Dani, we're sorry for the long silence. We had to shift our focus to some strategic questions recently, and Slate is still a big dilemma for us.

Here is a quick update about this feature, which causes a big dilemma within our team. We're committed to making this feature available for you. Unfortunately, we can't commit to a release date yet since the feature depends strongly on a third-party component that is out of our control.
We use a modified version of a third-party component called Slate as a basis of the description editor. The community behind Slate is performing a major update on their editor, which will bring several improvements. Also, there is a development in progress that will make the new editor available on the Android platform. The new editor's data structure will be mostly incompatible with the current version used in Scrum Mate, so we're facing a strong dilemma. We would love to provide the feature to allow inline images in the description, but we are also committed to migrating to the new Slate version. We sincerely hope that the new Slate version will be stable enough to use in early 2021, and we can add the inline image editing feature shortly afterwards.

Thank you for the feedback! We plan to add this feature in the future.

Zoltan from Scrum Mate: IT's November already, any ideas on the dates ? Also it would be nice if you could paste an image directly from your PC clipboard.

Domas Kudzevičius: Thank you for the feedback, Domas. I added a comment to provide some background why we weren't able to deliver the feature yet. We hope we can make it available early 2021. Right now you can paste images from the clipboard as an attachment. If you open a story card (but don't click on the description editor or any other fields) you can paste an image as an attachment.
